Sylvia
by A.R. Gurney
Greg and Kate have moved to Manhattan after twentytwo suburbanite years. His career is winding down, while hers is beginning to offer her more opportunities. Greg brings home a dog he found in the park bearing only the name “Sylvia.” A street-wise mix of Lab and Poodle, Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention. She offers Greg an escape from the unknowns of middle age. To Kate, Sylvia becomes a rival for affection. Sylvia thinks Kate doesn't understand the relationship between man and dog. The relationship between man, wife, and canine is filled with lots of laughs and countless complications.
